Outlook Setup

  1. Select Control Panel from the startup menu.

  2. Click on Mail Tip: Change the View by: option to small icons or use the search bar to find this option.

  3. In the Mail Setup - Outlook window, select Email Accounts...

  4. In the Email Accounts window, select New.

  5. Select the Manual setup or additional server types option.

  6. Select the POP3 or IMAP option.

  1. User Information: Fill in your name and email address.
  2. Server Information: Select either IMAP or POP3 from the dropdown menu for Account Type, fill in the incoming mail server and outgoing mail server.
  3. Logon Information: Fill in your username and password.
  4. Select More Settings.

Outgoing Server Tab: Tick the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

Advanced Tab:

  1. Select STARTTLS from the drop down menu. Note: STARTTLS being the preferred encryption method. If your version of Outlook does not display this option as STARTTLS, please select TLS instead.
  2. Fill in the corresponding port numbers. 143 for Incoming Server (IMAP) and 587 for Outgoing Server (IMAP)
  3. Use INBOX. in the Root folders path Note: INBOX. is required to be in all capitals and include the period.
  4. Click OK, once you are done.

More Settings for POP3

Outgoing Server Tab: Tick the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

Advanced Tab:

  1. Select STARTTLS from the drop down menu. Note: STARTTLS being the preferred encryption method. If your version of Outlook does not display this option as STARTTLS, please select TLS instead.
  2. Fill in the corresponding port numbers. 110 for Incoming Server (POP3) and 587 for Outgoing Server (POP3)
  3. In the Delivery section, you may change these options if you wish to store your mails on our server for a longer period of time.
  4. Click OK, once you are done.

Final

  1. Click Next on the POP and IMAP Account Settings window, this will automatically run a test. Note: If the test does not automatically run, you can click the Test Account Settings button.

  2. If the status shows as Completed for both tasks, you may close this test window.
  3. Click Finish and confirm the above results by opening your Outlook. If you have received a test message from Outlook, the account has been successfully setup.

Note: Send and Recieve may take some time to synchronize depending on the size of the mailbox, please be patient.
